The Jammu and Kashmir Students Union said in a statement, ‘Heartfelt thanks to the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs and all the concerned officials for their timely intervention and support. This is a big relief for those families who are eagerly waiting for their children to return.’
How were the students brought to India
It is worth noting here that Iran has opened its airspace to facilitate India’s evacuation efforts. The students were first taken from Tehran to Mashhad and the flights operated by the Iranian airline were coordinated by Indian officials.
