After the accident in Ahmedabad, the country is witnessing frequent emergency landings of planes. On Thursday morning, an emergency landing was made of IndiGo flight 6E 2006 going from Delhi to Leh due to technical reasons. All the passengers present in the flight are safe.
According to the information, there were about 180 people on board the IndiGo flight, including crew members. On Thursday morning, the flight took off from Delhi to Leh. A technical fault was detected shortly before reaching Leh. The plane returned shortly after reaching Leh and landed safely in Delhi. At present, the information about that technical fault has not been officially revealed.
On Wednesday, an IndiGo flight had to be cancelled. Flight 6E 6101 was to depart from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata. However, the flight was cancelled a few minutes before takeoff. The reason for this was also said to be a technical fault in the plane.
Earlier on June 2, an IndiGo plane collided with a vulture in Ranchi, due to which an emergency landing had to be made. The flight from Patna to Kolkata via Ranchi was at an altitude of about 3-4 thousand feet. At that time a vulture collided with it. After the collision, the plane remained in the air for about 40 minutes. There were 175 passengers including crew members on board this Indigo flight.
The passengers were in panic after the collision with the bird. The crew members of the plane reassured them. The pilot showed alertness and landed the plane safely at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. However, later the team of engineers assessed the extent of damage to the plane due to the collision. This is not the first incident of a plane’s flight being disrupted due to birds at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport. On May 8 also, Delhi-Ranchi Air India Express (IX 116) had a malfunction due to a pigeon getting stuck in its wing. The technical fault was detected after landing.
