Thousands of people united under the banner of “No Kings” to voice their indignation against the President’s policies.

The main rally, held at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, drew the largest crowd, with an estimated attendance of over 200,000 people. Reports claim that more than 8 million people participated in “No Kings Day” demonstrations across various U.S. states.
Protesters marched, chanted slogans, and waved posters and banners criticizing the Trump administration. Their primary targets were the administration’s strict immigration enforcement measures and its role in the ongoing conflict with Iran. In many cities, demonstrators lined the main thoroughfares, while others gathered at public squares to protest collectively, chanting in unison and waving placards.
The rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, was the day’s most significant event. It featured the participation of numerous prominent politicians and renowned cultural figures. Governor Tim Walz addressed the crowd and introduced singer Bruce Springsteen, who performed a song for the occasion. Several other well-known figures—including Senator Bernie Sanders, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers, and Jane Fonda—also joined the protest.

Representative John Larson stated, “We have gathered here today to declare that in America, there is no king.” Warning against the administration’s abuse of power, he added, “If we—the ordinary people—remain united and continue to raise our voices, no one can defeat us.”
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand remarked that in America, we do not bow down to any king.
She said, “Our President should focus on lowering grocery prices, making healthcare affordable, and ensuring that every family has the opportunity to get ahead—rather than using his position to burnish his own personal brand. The time has come for us to enforce this restraint and ensure that our government serves the people, not the ego of a single individual.”
Senator Bernie Sanders declared, “Our message today, in 2026, is: No more kings. We will not allow this country to slide into dictatorship. In America, the people—the public—shall rule.”
