Superintendent of Police (City) Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said that both arrested accused have admitted that the murder was carried out at the behest of the main conspirator, Pooja Shakun Pandey, and her husband, Ashok Pandey. The murder was the result of a financial dispute between Abhishek Gupta and the accused couple.

Police have arrested the second shooter in the murder case of businessman Abhishek Gupta in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. According to police, he also revealed that the main conspirators were Hindu Mahasabha General Secretary Pooja Shakun Pandey and her husband Ashok Pandey, who were responsible for the contract killing.
According to Aligarh police, Asif, the alleged shooter involved in the businessman’s murder, was arrested near the Aligarh-Etah highway on Friday night. Police recovered an illegal gun and approximately ₹12,000 from Asif. Police have confirmed that he has a prior criminal record.
According to police, during interrogation, the arrested accused, Asif, provided a detailed account of the incident, which completely matches the statement given by the first shooter, Mohammad Fazal, who was arrested on September 30. Superintendent of Police (City) Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said, “Both the arrested accused have confessed that the murder was carried out for money at the behest of the main conspirator, Pooja Shakun Pandey, and her husband, Ashok Pandey.”
According to the police officer, both hired killers were regular visitors to Pandey’s house. Police say the murder was the result of a financial dispute between Gupta and the accused couple. Pathak said that the police are conducting extensive raids to arrest Pooja Shakun Pandey, the national general secretary of the Hindu Mahasabha, who is accused in the case. He said that Pooja is a co-conspirator in the murder along with her husband and Hindu Mahasabha spokesperson, Ashok Pandey. Ashok was arrested on September 28.
