Air India said the aircraft has been grounded for inspection and the passengers are being shifted to another flight which will take off for Indore soon.

An Air India flight to Indore in Madhya Pradesh returned to Delhi on Sunday after the pilot detected a “fire signal” in the right engine of the aircraft shortly after takeoff, the airline said.
Air India said the aircraft has been grounded for inspection and the passengers are being sent to another aircraft which will fly to Indore soon.
The Tata Group-owned airline said without giving any additional information, “Flight number AI2913 to Indore on August 31 returned to Delhi shortly after takeoff as the crew detected a fire signal in the right engine.”
It said the crew shut down the engine as per set standards and the aircraft was brought back to Delhi, where it landed safely. The airline said the incident has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
