He said that the increasing incidence of heart attacks in India is a matter of concern. He said that the Union Health Ministry should do some more research on this topic and collect data. Through this, it should be seen what effects are occurring after Corona. Along with this, it should also be seen that we will have to make research and framework regarding the medicine and the vaccine.
In the Rajya Sabha, he said that the Health Ministry will have to make a framework on how heart attacks can be controlled in people below 50 years of age. He said that the study of Lancet (research magazine) shows that 5 to 6 lakh people have died of heart attack in India and all of them were below 50 years of age. This is a matter of sorrow not only for their families but also for the country’s economy. Death of youth due to heart attack is a cause for concern.
According to Chaturvedi, many such cases have come to light where players died of heart attacks while playing cricket. He said that I appeal to the Health Ministry to create a database. Every day we are coming across such news that sometimes someone is dying of heart attack while playing cricket or while playing Dandiya, whereas these people had no history of heart disease. He also told that recently a healthy 38 year old youth had a sudden heart attack in the train.
