A youth from Kerala has been arrested in this case. The accused has been identified as Abin, who is 23 years old. He is studying MBA from Kerala. The girl and the accused belong to the same community.

The victimized girl students are studying in second PUC. The accused had come wearing a mask and cap like a college student. The incident occurred when students were preparing for exams in the college campus. One student is said to be seriously injured in the incident, while two others sitting next to her suffered minor burns.

SP Rishiyant C.B. gave information about this. Said that, ‘There was an incident where a youth threw acid on a female student in the college premises at Government Pre-Graduate College, Kadaba. During the incident, two other girl students present next to the student were also attacked with acid and suffered minor injuries. Accused Abin has already been arrested and his interrogation is going on. The accused and the acid attack student belong to the same community. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused committed this crime due to failure in love. A case will be registered and investigation will be done.
