Abu Dhabi investment authority buys SpiceJet shares from open market

The stake of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in SpiceJet has increased by 5.88%, from 0.33% in December 2023 to 6.21% in February 2024.

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) recently bought shares of SpiceJet from the open market. An airline spokesperson confirmed this, saying, “Yes, ADIA has acquired the shares of the airline from the open market.”

The stake of foreign institutional investors (FIIs) in SpiceJet has increased by 5.88 per cent from 0.33 per cent in December 2023 to 6.21 per cent in February 2024, an airline official claimed.

SpiceJet had recently raised a total investment of Rs 1060 crore from a preferential issue with certain investors including Aries Opportunities Fund Ltd and Elara India Opportunities Fund Ltd. According to airline officials, a part of these funds will be used to repay past liabilities.
