U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the Taj Mahal on Monday. He spent about an hour at the monument, expressing keen interest in its history, architecture, and inlay work.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived at Kheria Airport aboard a special aircraft at approximately 9:00 AM on Monday. He reached the Taj Mahal around 10:00 AM. Accompanying him were his wife, Jeanette, and U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor.
Marco Rubio was dressed in a black suit. He also posed for photographs with his wife at the “Diana Bench.” He remained at the Taj Mahal for about an hour.
Guide Nitin Singh conducted a tour of the monument for him. After having lunch here, Marco is scheduled to depart for Jaipur later this afternoon. He is currently on a four-day visit to India.
