A major tragedy was narrowly averted at Sasaram station in Bihar. An atmosphere of panic and chaos ensued when a coach of a Patna-bound train, standing at the station, suddenly caught fire. However, the fire was brought under control in the nick of time.

Panic ensued at Sasaram Railway Station in Bihar on Monday morning after a fire broke out in one of the coaches of a train bound for Patna. At the time of the incident, the train was standing on Platform Number 6. The train has been identified by the number 53212. Following the outbreak of the fire, panic spread among the passengers within the station premises, and people began running helter-skelter.
According to eyewitnesses present at the scene, smoke was first observed emanating from the area near the restroom of the train’s B-3 coach. Within moments, the smoke turned into flames, and the fire began to spread inside the coach. Upon receiving information about the incident, the railway administration and security forces rushed to the spot. Immediate relief and rescue operations were initiated.
It is reported that the train was scheduled to depart from Sasaram Station for Patna at 6:45 AM on Monday. As soon as news of the fire broke, railway personnel safely evacuated the passengers and cleared the platform. Thanks to the alertness and prompt action of the railway staff and security forces, the fire was brought under control swiftly. There are no reports of any injuries or casualties among the passengers in this incident.
Currently, the exact cause of the fire remains unclear. Preliminary investigations suggest the possibility of a short circuit or a technical malfunction. The railway administration is conducting a thorough inquiry into the entire matter.
