Writer and historian Ashok Kumar Pandey shared a video on X, in which some people are calling the BJP leader’s actions shameful and advising him to refrain from such actions that divide society. They say that people of all castes and religions live together in harmony. Therefore, the BJP should refrain from engaging in divisive politics for votes. A man admonished BJP leader Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria, saying, “If you don’t mend your ways, you won’t be allowed to enter here and will be taught a lesson in the elections.” People also demanded the return of the blankets he distributed.
Ashok Kumar Pandey shared the video, writing, “The public has responded to the hateful leader who snatched blankets from Muslim women by returning them. This is the kind of brotherhood we need in society. Even though only a few people are coming forward, the impact is huge. Long live love.”
Tikaram Julie’s allegation
Meanwhile, the Congress party launched a scathing attack on PM Modi, the RSS, and BJP leaders over the incident. Congress leaders also said that Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria’s act of taking back the blanket from a poor Muslim woman and behaving disrespectfully is shameful.

The opposition Congress party has strongly attacked the BJP leader for his actions. Tikaram Julie, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, alleged that Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria insulted a Muslim woman and took back the blanket after asking her religion.
Citing an alleged video of the incident, Julie claimed that the former MP had gone to Kareda Buzurg village in Niwai tehsil, where, during a blanket distribution, he took back the blanket given to the woman after learning her name.
Alleging discrimination, Julie said, “It is absolutely condemnable for a public representative holding a position like that of an MP to act in such a manner.”
When did the incident happen?
According to local residents, the incident occurred at a blanket distribution event on Sunday afternoon. Some people present alleged that the blankets were initially given to the women but were later taken back after their religion was discovered.
In the alleged video clip, Jaunapuria can be heard saying that those who abuse Prime Minister Narendra Modi have no right to receive blankets. He also said that this was his personal event and was not related to any government scheme.
The former MP had gone to invite people for Prime Minister Modi’s proposed visit to Ajmer on February 28.
