An Air India flight AI887, en route from Delhi to Mumbai, had to return to Delhi airport after experiencing a technical problem. According to reports, the aircraft landed safely at Delhi airport, and all passengers and crew members disembarked safely.

Air India expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the passengers, stating that the situation was entirely unforeseen, but the safety of passengers and crew is the company’s top priority. Following the landing, a technical investigation has been initiated, and the engineering team is conducting the necessary inspections.

Regarding the landing, an Air India spokesperson stated that, under standard operating procedures, the crew of flight AI887 from Delhi to Mumbai on December 22nd decided to return to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers and crew have disembarked.

The spokesperson further added that Air India sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen situation. The necessary checks are being carried out on the aircraft.
