Two coaches of the 63081 Rampurhat-Jasidih EMU local passenger train derailed near Dumka railway station in Jharkhand; the derailed coach damaged an OHE electric pole. Railway officials are investigating the incident.

Two coaches of the Rampurhat-Jasidih passenger train derailed at Dumka railway station in Jharkhand on Thursday, an official said. The official said no casualties were reported in the accident, which occurred around 2:10 pm near Dumka railway station. Dumka station is under Eastern Railway.
Dumka SDO Kaushal Kumar said, “A report was received regarding the derailment of the Rampurhat-Jasidih passenger train. Two coaches have derailed. Two to four people sustained minor injuries and have been sent for first aid. The administration is on the spot. No casualties have been reported.”
Eastern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Ved Prakash said, “Two coaches of the Rampurhat-Jasidih MEMU (63081) passenger train derailed near Dumka station. No casualties have been reported in the incident.”
Another official said that an electric pole was also damaged in the accident. The train was evacuated after the accident, and most passengers left for their destinations by road.
The train had left Rampurhat in West Bengal’s Birbhum district at around 12:50 pm and was scheduled to reach Jasidih station in Jharkhand.
