Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to age-related ailments and was discharged on Wednesday morning after several days of treatment.
The 89-year-old actor’s condition was reported to be very critical, but he is now completely fine. The news of his discharge from the hospital is a relief for his fans.
According to the medical team at Breach Candy Hospital, Dharmendra is responding well to treatment and is considered ready for discharge. The family also wants to take the actor home as soon as possible, and further treatment will be conducted at his home.
Dharmendra was shifted to the ICU on November 10th due to ill health, after which false reports of his death began circulating on social media. Dharmendra’s family immediately denied these reports and expressed their displeasure. This period was a difficult one for the Deol family and Bollywood. On social media, everyone from major Bollywood stars to politicians wished him well.
Now, thanks to the blessings of his fans, the actor has returned home on Wednesday. Earlier, on November 11th, Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol provided a health update on the actor, stating that he was stable and recovering well. They asked fans to pray for his speedy recovery and criticized those spreading false news of his death.
They called such reports insulting and irresponsible. They wrote on the social media platform, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about such a person? This is extremely insulting and irresponsible.”
Esha Deol also blamed the media for spreading the news of his death, writing that the media seemed overly active in this matter, and that they should at least wait for an official statement from the family.
