Opposition parties have targeted the BJP over the incident. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP, intoxicated by the arrogance of power, never hesitates to insult anyone. “BJP members, don’t forget, every arrogance comes to an end one day,” he said.

In Uttar Pradesh, once again, a BJP leader’s hooliganism has come to light in the middle of the street, in the presence of police. The incident occurred in Meerut district, where BJP leader Vikul Chaprana, after verbally abusing two young men in the middle of the market, made one of them rub his nose on the road and then let him go. After a video of the incident circulated on social media, the BJP leader was arrested. However, he has been charged with bailable charges.
Regarding this incident, the Congress party stated, “The man using abusive language in this video is BJP leader Vikul Chaprana. A minor altercation on the road regarding a car enraged the leader, who abused him with filthy language, forced him to rub his nose on the ground, and forced him to kneel down to apologize. Vikul Chaprana staged this entire spectacle in front of the UP police, even naming prominent names to flaunt his authority. This is the true face of the BJP—a leader who considers himself a king and the common people like insects. This thug must be arrested.”

Meanwhile, police stated that the incident occurred on the night of October 19th in the Tejgarhi area of the Medical Police Station. A video circulating on social media shows BJP Kisan Morcha District Vice President Vikul Chaprana and his associates threatening two young men and breaking their car windows. In the video, one of the young men is seen with folded hands, begging for forgiveness, and rubbing his nose on the road while the BJP leader abuses him.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred during a parking dispute below the office of Energy Minister Dr. Somendra Tomar. Policemen were present at the scene but made no attempt to stop the accused. SP (City) Ayush Vikram Singh stated that after the video went viral, the matter was taken into cognizance, and an investigation revealed that the two parties had a dispute over parking.
He stated that a case was registered and the main accused, Vikul Chaprana, was arrested. According to Medical Police Station in-charge Sheelesh Kumar, the complaint was filed by Aditya Rastogi, brother of the victim, Satyam Rastogi, and the others involved in the incident are being identified.
Meanwhile, as the controversy escalated, Energy Minister Tomar told local media that he had no connection to the dispute. BJP District President Shivkumar Rana stated, “The video has come to our notice; the party does not condone such behavior. Information about the matter has been sent to the state and regional leadership.”
