A private bus was buried under debris in a massive landslide in Bilaspur district, Himachal Pradesh, on Tuesday evening. Fifteen people lost their lives in the accident, including five women. All 15 bodies have been recovered during a rescue operation, according to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
When did the accident happen?
- A landslide occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, and the bus was trapped under the debris.
- The accident occurred in the Balurghat area of Bilaspur’s Jhanduta region while the bus was passing through.
- The bus used to run on the Maladi-Marotan route in the morning. It departed from Maladi at 8:45 a.m. and traveled twice a day.

- Rajkumar Kaushal, another resident, said that rescue teams rescued two surviving victims.
Rescue and Relief Operations
- An NDRF official confirmed that all 15 bodies have been recovered.

- Rescue teams, police, and local administration immediately began relief and rescue operations at the accident site.
