A senior official of the Union Finance Ministry died in the accident when a BMW car hit a bike near Delhi’s Cantonment Metro station, while three people including his wife were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.

There has been a new twist in the tragic BMW accident in Delhi Cantt area. The accused Gaganpreet Kaur has been arrested by the police after she was discharged from the hospital. Delhi Police said that further investigation and legal action will now be taken against Gaganpreet.
An FIR has been registered on the basis of the statement of Sandeep Kaur, wife of Navjot Singh who died in the accident. Sandeep Kaur told the police that on Sunday she and her husband Navjot Singh were returning home on a motorcycle after lunch. Then a speeding blue BMW hit their bike from behind near Dhaula Kuan. The collision was so severe that both of them fell on the road. Navjot suffered serious head and face injuries, while Sandeep Kaur suffered fractures in her hands and legs and a deep head injury.
Sandeep Kaur alleges that the woman driving the BMW, who told her name as Gaganpreet Kaur, took her to a small hospital in GTB Nagar far away instead of taking her to the nearest hospital after the accident. She repeatedly pleaded to take her to a nearby hospital, but her request was not heeded.
