In Pakistan’s troubled Balochistan province, extremists on Friday shot nine passengers from Punjab after taking them off a bus. Officials gave this information. Assistant Commissioner of Zhob area of the province, Naveed Alam, said that the incident took place on the national highway in Zhob area.
This bus was going from Quetta to Lahore. The armed attackers first saw the identity cards of the passengers and asked nine people to get off the bus and shot them dead. Alam told that all these people were from different parts of Punjab province.
He said, “We have sent all the nine bodies for post-mortem.” This is not the first time that extremists have targeted people of Punjab province and passengers of buses passing through various highways in Balochistan. No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, extremists also carried out three terrorist attacks in Quetta, Loralai and Mastung, but Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind claimed that security forces foiled these attacks.
Balochistan media reported that militants attacked several places in the province during the night and targeted security checkpoints, government installations, police stations, banks and communication towers. Rind confirmed the attacks but said there were no reports of casualties in any of the incidents.
