Imagine what happens when you go to defecate near a pond and suddenly a crocodile attacks you? Something similar happened to a man in Dungarpur village of Haridwar. The crocodile caught the man’s hand in its jaws, due to which blood started flowing all around.

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. The people of Dungarpur village were terrified when a person suddenly became a victim of a crocodile attack on a normal morning. Suresh, a resident of this village, went to the village pond early in the morning to defecate like every day. Little did he know that a danger was lurking under that calm water.
As soon as Suresh reached near the water, suddenly a crocodile attacked with lightning speed. It grabbed Suresh’s hand in its strong jaws and started trying to pull him inside the pond.
Villagers saved his life
Hearing Suresh’s screams, people working in the nearby fields ran. They somehow freed Suresh from the crocodile’s jaws, but by then it was too late. He was completely injured by the crocodile’s sharp teeth. Blood kept flowing all around. The family immediately called 108 ambulance and he was taken to the hospital. Currently, Suresh’s treatment is going on.
Panic atmosphere in the village
The crocodile attacked only one person, but its panic has spread throughout the village. Especially in the morning and evening, people are now afraid to go near the pond.
Forest department team did not reach
Section Officer Sanjay Pant reached the spot with his team as soon as he got information about the case. He said that efforts will be made to catch the crocodile, but the surprising thing is that till now no team of the forest department has reached the spot. Villagers say that until the crocodile is caught, no one will go near the pond.
