A helicopter of AIIMS Rishikesh’s heli ambulance service crashed in Kedarnath

The helicopter of AIIMS Rishikesh’s heli ambulance service crashed in Kedarnath as the rear part of the helicopter was damaged. All five passengers on board the helicopter are safe. This information has been given by Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey.
According to the information, the helicopter that crashed is AIIMS’ air ambulance. It had gone to pick up a patient along with the staff. During this time, there were about five people on board the chopper. However, everyone is safe. It is being told that this chopper met with an accident during emergency landing. The chopper was doing an emergency landing due to imbalance, when its tail malfunctioned and broke. Fortunately, the chopper was only a few feet above the ground. However, all the passengers have been safely evacuated and an investigation into the matter has been started.
A helicopter crashed in Uttarkashi as well
It is worth noting that, last week, six people including five devotees were killed and another devotee was seriously injured when a helicopter of a private company crashed near Gangani in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. There were seven people on board the helicopter including the pilot.
According to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the helicopter of ‘Aerotrans Services Private Limited’ was taking the devotees to Gangotri Dham after Yamunotri Darshan where it had to land at Harshil helipad. According to the SDRF, the helicopter crashed after falling into a 200-250 meter deep gorge, killing six people including five devotees.
The deceased in the accident were identified as pilot Robin Singh (60), a resident of Vadodara in Gujarat, Vijayalakshmi Reddy (57), a resident of Powai in Mumbai, Ruchi Agarwal (56), Kala Chandrakant Soni (61), Radha Agarwal (79), a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and Vedanti Devi (48), a resident of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
