प्रिंसिपल ने लेपा था क्लासरूम में गोबर, अब DUSU अध्यक्ष ने उनके दफ्तर में कर दी गोबर की लिपाई
Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president Raunak Khatri reached the office of the principal of Laxmibai College on Tuesday with bags full of cow dung and said, ‘Madam ji has plastered the classroom with cow dung to cool the room, so her office should also be plastered with cow dung and the AC should be removed…’
In this regard, Raunak Khatri shared a video on Tuesday morning and informed about his move. He had said, “A few days ago, you all must have seen that historical video of the Principal of Laxmibai College, in which she was seen plastering the classroom with cow dung! Now, taking this revolutionary initiative forward, I will go to Madam’s office with my colleagues carrying cow dung and will help her in plastering the principal’s room. We have full faith that Madam will now get the AC removed from her room and hand it over to the students, and will run the college in this modern and natural cool environment plastered with cow dung!”
A few hours later, Raunak Khatri reached the principal’s office with his colleagues carrying cow dung in bags. Although Principal Dr. Pratyush Vatsala was not there, she started plastering his office with cow dung in his absence.
In fact, a video of Dr. Pratyush Vatsala, Principal of Lakshmibai College located in Ashok Vihar, affiliated to Delhi University, was going viral on social media. In this video, she is seen applying cow dung on the walls of the college classroom. Principal Vatsala had claimed that this is part of a research project. She said that this research project has been started by a faculty member of the college, which aims to reduce the temperature of the classroom by using traditional Indian methods.
Dr. Vatsala told that she herself also applied cow dung on the wall of a porta cabin, so that it can be shown that using natural elements like soil and cow dung is not harmful. She said that some people are forming wrong opinions based on incomplete information.
It is seen in the video that along with the principal, some other employees of the college are also supporting him in this work. Laxmibai College was established in 1965 and is named after Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi.
