In its report, the commission has held the organizers primarily responsible for this incident, as well as identified the negligence of the administration and the police as a serious lapse.

The report has now been presented in the cabinet and has also been approved to be placed in the House. According to officials, this report will now be considered mandatory for appropriate action by the state government, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.

The investigation report of the terrible stampede incident in Hathras district has cited the negligence of the organizers as the main reason. According to the report, the organizers did not follow the safety standards in the satsang in which this tragic accident took place. The storyteller ‘Bhole Baba’ involved in this incident has been completely exonerated in the investigation. The investigation commission clarified that Baba had no connection with the incident. The commission also said that the real reason was the mismanagement of the organizers and the excessive number of crowd at the site, which led to the stampede.

The judicial commission admitted in its report that the number of people present at the site was much more than estimated, due to which security measures could not be implemented adequately and a stampede occurred.

According to the report, the negligence of the organizers was considered to be the main reason for this accident. The commission further said that correct data was not collected regarding the number of crowd at the site, due to which the deployment of security forces was also less. After this accident, the commission has now recommended the implementation of strict provisions to prevent such incidents in future.

The report also said that the organizers should take their responsibilities seriously and better planning and security arrangements are needed to avoid such a situation in future.

On July 2, 2024, 121 people lost their lives in a stampede after the satsang of Bhole Baba alias Narayan Sarkar Hari in Phoolrai village located in Sikandrarao area of ​​Hathras. This incident happened when thousands of people had arrived to attend the satsang. Due to the scorching heat and humidity, there was a stampede in the crowd, which led to this accident.

The state government had constituted a judicial inquiry commission under the chairmanship of retired High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava. Retired IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh and retired IAS officer Hemant Rao were also included in the members of the commission. It has not yet been confirmed whether the commission has found evidence of a conspiracy behind the accident or not.
