In the Chardham Yatra which started from May 10 in Uttarakhand, the process of devotees coming to the Dham every day is continuing. Meanwhile, on Saturday, with full rituals, the doors of Hemkund Sahib, the holiest religious place of Sikhs, were opened for the devotees with a sacred symbol in the presence of Panch Pyaras.
The doors of Hemkund Sahib were opened for all the devotees on Saturday morning amid tight police security and the tune of the Sikh Regiment Band and the chants of “Jo Bole So Nihaal Sat Shri Akal” along with about 2000 devotees. With this the journey to Sri Hemkund Sahib has started.

Earlier on Friday, the first group of about 2000 devotees, carrying the holy relic from the Gurdwara located at Govind Ghat, left for Hemkund Sahib Dham with the sound of musical instruments and bands, which reached the Dham on Saturday morning. After that, at the morning auspicious time, the doors were opened for the devotees with full rituals.
To make the journey to Hemkund Sahib easy and safe for the devotees, the state government and administration have made arrangements for food stalls, drinking water, electricity and doctors at various places on the way to the Dham so that the devotees coming to visit the Dham can Don’t have any problems. Hemkund Sahib has a very difficult 18 kilometer trek. There is still snow on the road here. Before the start of the yatra, the army soldiers removed the snow from here and prepared the route to the Dham.
This time, before Hemkund Sahib, on the day of Buddha Purnima, the doors of Shri Lokpal Laxman Temple were also opened for the devotees. Actually, every year the doors of Hemkund Sahib and Lokpal Laxman Temple are opened simultaneously. But this time the doors of Lokpal Laxman Temple were opened two days ago on Wednesday.
The temple committee said that Krishna Paksha was starting from Friday and according to the scriptures, the doors of the temple are not opened during this period. Therefore, on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, the doors of the temple were opened.
