Several people are missing after a boat capsized in Jhelum river near Srinagar. Officials said the State Disaster Relief Force has launched a rescue operation for the missing passengers.

Four people died after a boat capsized in Jhelum river on the outskirts of Srinagar city on Tuesday. The officers provided this information. The incident took place in Gandabal Naugam area and several other people are still missing, officials said.
He said that a team of State Disaster Response Force has been deployed and the rescue operation has been started. Officials said four bodies have been recovered so far, while several others are missing.
Due to continuous rains in the last few days, the water level of Jhelum river as well as lakes and reservoirs has increased.
