A large piece of hill suddenly came on the road near Jhala on Gangotri Highway in Uttarkashi. Due to this Gangotri Highway has been closed.
No vehicle was passing through the road during the landslide. Due to this no major incident occurred. On receiving the information, the district administration sent a BRO team to the spot.
District Disaster Management Department said that the BRO team has arrived to open the highway and is working to remove the debris. Soon the highway will be opened for traffic.
