BJP MP from Hisar, Haryana, Brijendra Singh joined the Congress party in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has suffered a big setback in Haryana. BJP MP from Hisar, Haryana, Brijendra Singh joined the Congress party on Sunday (March 10) in the presence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Brijendra Singh had resigned from BJP. He had informed about his resignation through social media. It is being told that it was certain that Brijendra Singh would be denied ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, after which he took the decision and decided to resign.
Brijendra Singh is the son of former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh. At present Brijendra Singh is MP from Hisar, Haryana. He won the election by contesting on BJP ticket. In this election, Brijendra Singh had defeated JJP’s Dushyant Chautala but this time he was not expected to get the ticket.
MP Brijendra Singh joins Congress
Brijendra Singh, son of former Union Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh, who has a good understanding of Haryana politics, has joined the Congress. He joined the Congress in the presence of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. He had informed about his resignation on social media citing political compulsions. In the 2019 elections, Brijendra Singh left his IAS job and contested the elections and won.
Brijendra Singh defeated Dushyant Chautala in 2019
At present there are total 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had captured all the 10 seats in the state. Brijendra Singh had won the election by contesting from Hisar on BJP ticket. He won the Hisar seat by defeating JJP’s Dushyant Chautala and Bhavya Bishnoi. Brijendra Singh’s father Chaudhary Birendra Singh remained a member of Rajya Sabha till 2022. Apart from being a minister at the Centre, he has also held the post of minister in the Haryana government for a long time.
