Terror of fearless miscreants has been seen in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. BJP leader Pramod Yadav has been shot dead. This incident took place in Bodhapur turn of Baksa police station area of Jaunpur. Here the miscreants shot BJP leader Pramod Yadav. He was rushed to the district hospital in injured condition, but he died during treatment. Police have registered a case. Investigation into the matter has been started. Police are scanning CCTV footage and searching for eyewitnesses.
Pramod Yadav had contested the 2012 assembly elections as a BJP candidate from Malhani seat of Jaunpur against Jagriti Singh, wife of Bahubali Dhananjay Singh. Paras Nath Yadav of Samajwadi Party had won the election. Jagriti Singh stood second. Dhananjay and Jagriti got divorced in the year 2017. After this, Dhananjay Singh got married for the third time to Srikala Reddy, who is currently the District Panchayat President of Jaunpur.
Last Wednesday, former MP and muscleman Dhananjay Singh was sentenced to 7 years in prison in a kidnapping and extortion case. Along with this, the MP-MLA court had also imposed a fine of Rs 50 thousand on him. He was convicted on Tuesday.
