An official of Dholka police station said that the accident occurred around 5 am when the SUV collided with a dumper parked on the roadside on a highway near the town. The officer said that the SUV was going to Dahod from Botad district of Gujarat.
He said that five people died and two were injured in this incident, including a woman. The injured have been taken to a government hospital in Ahmedabad.
