Actor Nitish Bhardwaj, who played the role of Shri Krishna in the Mahabharata serial, has lodged a complaint with the police on Wednesday. In this complaint, Nitish has accused his wife, IAS officer Smita Bhardwaj, of mental harassment. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

Actor Nitish Bhardwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna in Mahabharata, has accused his wife of mental torture and harassment, and has also filed a case against her.
Nitish Bhardwaj also attended the inauguration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22 January, after which he remained in the headlines. Now Nitish has created a sensation by accusing his IAS wife of alleged harassment. Presently Nitish’s wife Smita Gate is posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission. The actor has also demanded action against his wife.
Written complaint given to Bhopal Police Commissioner
According to the report of Free Press, actor Bhardwaj spoke to Bhopal Police Commissioner (CP) Harinarayanachari Mishra on Wednesday, February 14 in this matter and gave a written complaint against his wife. In his complaint, Nitish said that he was married for 12 years and in 2018 he had filed for divorce, the matter is still in the court. The actor accused his wife of not allowing him to meet their twin daughters – Devyani and Shivranjani. Bhardwaj further said in his complaint that Smita allegedly keeps changing the schools of her children to prevent them from meeting her daughters, due to which they have become mentally disturbed.
Divorce was said to be more painful than death
Nitish Bhardwaj requested CP to intervene in this matter and ensure that he can meet his daughters. CP told Free Press that he had received a complaint from Bhardwaj. He said that investigating officer Falguni Dixit has been handed over the case and she will look into it. In one of his old interviews, Nitish had described divorce as more painful than death. Talking about the divorce, he said, ‘Yes, we have filed for divorce in the family court, what is the real reason for our separation, I do not want to go into those details. Our case is still going on in the court. I just want to say that divorce is more painful than death because you are living in a void.
