A wall collapsed near an under-construction building in Tamil Nadu’s Udhagamandalam (Ooty) on Wednesday, trapping 15 workers under the debris, out of which seven have been rescued. However, 7 laborers including 6 women have died in this accident. While there is news of one laborer still trapped under the debris.
This accident happened this morning in Lovedale area of Gandhi Nagar in Udhagamandalam (Ooty). Rescue operation is going on on war footing to save the laborer trapped in the debris. Local officials along with Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service personnel have reached the spot.

There was an outcry at the spot of the incident. The local people hurriedly tried to save the workers from the debris. The local police and administration were informed, after which the police and several teams reached the accident site and started the rescue operation. Earth movers and cranes were also used to rescue the workers trapped inside, including women.
