In Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, four people who slept after lighting a fire in their room to escape the cold, died of suffocation, while three others have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. All these people are said to be residents of Buxar, Bihar, who used to work as sales boys for a company while living in Hazaribagh.

The incident took place in Rasuliganj of Katkamdag police station area adjacent to Hazaribagh city. It was told that on Wednesday night these people slept after burning coal in the room. When the door of the room did not open till late in the morning, the people in the neighborhood became suspicious. When people broke the door and entered inside, everyone was found unconscious.

It is believed that this accident happened due to the room being filled with carbon and gas.

Everyone was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared four dead. Three others are undergoing treatment. At present, information about the name and address of any of them has not been found.
