Hunting team experts Dr. Himanshu Pangti and Harish Dhami have been deployed with the team. Also, the district administration has banned the movement of devotees in Chhota Kailash. An appeal has also been made to the devotees not to visit Chhota Kailash for a few days. The Forest Department has installed 10 cameras at the spot and four cages nearby.
It is noteworthy that yesterday the regional people under the leadership of MLA Ram Singh Kaida had surrounded the DFO office and expressed their displeasure and demanded an order to kill the tiger. The regional MLA had talked to Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal from the spot. On Saturday, he was warned not to even perform the last rites of Pushpa, the victim of Guldar’s attack. However, later the authorities somehow pacified the matter.
The District Magistrate had directed the Forest Department to declare the tiger a man-eater. Guldar has attacked 2 people in three days. Indra Belwal of Maluvatal and Pushpa Devi of Pinro had died in this.
