According to the information received, the matter is of Kotwali police station of Aligarh, where a woman had come along with a young man for passport verification. She was standing in front of the inspector’s desk. Just then, a police station official gives a government pistol to the inspector standing on the other side of the table, which the inspector starts checking. Meanwhile, suddenly a bullet was fired from the pistol, which directly hit the woman in the head and she fell on the ground.
Shocked by this incident, the inspector and the man standing with the woman ran and tried to pick her up, but the woman remained lying bleeding. There was panic in the police station as soon as the sound of the bullet was heard. Immediately the woman was taken to JN Medical College and Hospital, where her condition remains critical. As soon as senior officials got information about this incident, they reached the spot. SSP has suspended the accused Inspector Manoj Sharma with immediate effect. Besides, a case has also been registered against the Inspector.
