Yellow alert has been issued regarding rain and snowfall as well as hailstorm on Monday. Even on Tuesday, there may be cloud cover at some places in the state.

The weather has changed in Uttarakhand. Since yesterday the sun has been playing a game of hide and seek with the clouds and today the clouds have taken the sky into their embrace. The cold has increased from the mountains to the plains. The sky is cloudy, sunlight cannot be seen. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning in Uttarakhand today. Yellow alert has been issued for all the districts of the state except Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
This warning has been issued due to the active western disturbance. The weather will remain changed for the next three days.
There is also a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches of the state. Today i.e. on 27th November, yellow alert of rain has been issued in Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital and Almora districts.
There is a possibility of rain along with hailstorm and lightning across the state except two districts. With the drop in temperature, there is also a possibility of cold in the entire state.
According to the Meteorological Department, clouds are hovering over the hilly districts due to the latest western disturbance being active in the Himalayan region of the state. On Monday, there may be snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag at altitudes above 3500 meters. There may also be some rainfall in the surrounding areas. Due to which there is a possibility of drop in temperature and severe cold from the mountains to the plains.
