The situation in Gaza is becoming dire due to Israel’s continuous attacks. Gaza’s largest hospital, Al Shifa, is being forced to bury bodies on the hospital premises due to the ever-increasing number of deaths. Today, about 179 people are buried in a mass grave on the hospital premises.
“We were forced to bury them (the bodies) in a mass grave,” said Mohammed Abu Salmiya, director of Al Shifa hospital, Al Jazeera reported. Those buried included seven children and 29 intensive care patients. “
Fadel Naim, a Gaza-based orthopedic surgeon, said injured patients are having to undergo surgery without anesthesia due to a lack of medical supplies. “This is to preserve the remaining supply of anesthesia for major and critical surgeries, which is on the verge of being exhausted at any time,” he wrote on X.
Al Jazeera reported that the pain experienced by patients during surgical interventions without anesthesia is beyond what humanity can bear.
