A court in Madurai, Tamil Nadu has granted bail to Bihar’s YouTuber Manish Kashyap. The NSA (National Security Act) imposed on him has also been lifted. Manish Kashyap was accused of sharing fake videos of migrants.
In today’s proceedings, the court gave this decision while holding the final hearing in this case. Manish Kashyap is currently lodged in Beur jail of Patna. There are some other cases against him, so his release from jail will not be possible right now.
Let us tell you that YouTuber Manish Kashyap was accused of circulating fake videos of beating of migrant laborers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu. Manish Kashyap runs his own YouTube channel, in which he makes videos and posts them. He first came into limelight by posting the video of bridge collapse on river Ganga in Bihar. The collapse of the bridge had brought a lot of disgrace to the Nitish government.
Was accused of broadcasting fake video
When Manish Kashyap posted videos of workers from Bihar being beaten in Tamil Nadu, he was accused that these were fake videos and he wanted to incite violence by posting them on his YouTube channel. An FIR was registered against him in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu regarding this. Along with this, NSA was also imposed on him. A few days later, the police had arrested Manish Kashyap from Bihar itself.
Manish Kashyap was lodged in Madurai Central Jail
After arresting Manish Kashyap, Tamil Nadu Police produced him in Madurai Court, from where he was first sent to 15-day remand and then sent to jail. Manish Kashyap was kept in Madurai Central Jail. Manish Kashyap had also applied in the Supreme Court for removal of NSA and cases registered against him, but Manish Kashyap did not get any relief.
Bihar Police also tightened its grip
Meanwhile, Bihar Police also tightened its grip on Manish Kashyap. Bihar Police found in its investigation that a big network of Manish Kashyap is working behind circulating fake videos of beating of workers. Bihar Police investigated his YouTube channel. Also ascertained the income from it. Manish was found to have huge amounts of money in his bank accounts and financial irregularities. There were about Rs 42 lakh in the bank accounts of Manish’s YouTube channel, which was seized by the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police.

Action was going on against Manish Kashyap simultaneously in two states, Bihar and Tamil Nadu. In such a situation, his lawyer had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that all the cases be tried at one place, but the Supreme Court had refused this. Meanwhile, Manish Kashyap was brought from Tamil Nadu to Bihar to appear in the case of demanding extortion from a bank officer and assaulting an MLA in Bettiah. At present he is lodged in Beur jail. Recently, when he was being brought to appear in the court, he had fiercely targeted the Lalu family.
