Truck hits bus parked on Gorakhpur-Kushinagar highway, 6 people die tragically, 27 people injured

A road accident occurred near Jagdishpur on Gorakhpur-Kushinagar highway at around 11 pm on Thursday. A speeding truck hit a bus parked on the roadside. Six bus passengers died in the accident, while 26 passengers were injured.
The injured have been sent to the district hospital and medical college. The condition of many of these is serious. On receiving information about the accident, SP City and other officials reached the spot.
It is being told that a contracted bus from Gorakhpur was going to Padrauna in Kushinagar with passengers. The wheel of the bus got punctured near Mallapur in Jagdishpur. The driver and conductor parked the bus on the roadside and were boarding the passengers in another bus. Some passengers had sat in the bus while some were standing between the two buses. Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit the bus from behind. The collision was so severe that three people died on the spot, while more than two dozen people were injured. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where three others also died. The condition of many other passengers is also critical.
On the other hand, after the accident, the officers alerted the doctors of Sadar Hospital and Medical College. Doctors have been called after a large number of injured arrived. Five ambulances reached the accident site and took the injured to Sadar and Medical College. It is being told that more than 30 people were traveling in the bus.
Three of the six deceased were residents of Kushinagar.
