A 17-year-old physically disabled Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the girl’s family, she had gone out to graze goats on Saturday and was found in a critical condition in a millet field, 200 meters away from her house, later in the evening.
The victim’s uncle said that we found the girl partially naked and soaked in blood. She told through sign language that two men raped her.
The girl was immediately taken to the trauma center of Firozabad District Hospital. He was then referred to Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra. Villagers told that the girl was from a poor family. His father, uncle and elder brother work as labourers. The girl is unable to speak properly.
Additional SP Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said, “Medical examination has confirmed injuries to the girl’s private parts. We are waiting for his ultrasound report and other test results. “Police have registered an FIR under IPC section 376 (rape) against unknown persons based on the complaint of the victim’s uncle.”
