Seven people died and 30 were injured in a fire at a pharmaceutical factory in Punjab’s Amritsar early Friday.
Residents affected by the fire were taken to a nearby trauma centre, an official said. The incident happened on Majitha Road. There is a possibility of fire breaking out due to storage of chemicals in the factory. Although there has been no official confirmation.
At the time of the disaster, some construction work was going on in the factory and the workers were found unconscious. Rescue work is going on.
