Dengue outbreak in Bihar, highest number of cases in Bhagalpur and Patna

According to the Health Department, the number of dengue patients in the state has crossed 300 to reach 325 till Tuesday. Bhagalpur has the maximum number of dengue patients at 119, while Patna has 99 dengue patients. Apart from this, dengue patients have also come from many other districts including Begusarai, Vaishali, Bhojpur.

Special wards for dengue have been created in many hospitals including PMCH in the state. The number of people getting tested for dengue in hospitals is continuously increasing.

According to the department, kits related to dengue testing have been made available in district hospitals and medical colleges. In Patna, Municipal Corporation claims that to control dengue, anti-larva spraying and fogging is being done continuously from door to door.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high-level meeting on September 4 regarding the increasing cases of dengue, in which adequate number of beds were made available in hospitals, availability of platelets in blood banks and regular spraying of anti-dengue medicine everywhere. instructions have been given.
