Pandit Banaras Tiwari, father of famous and popular Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 99 at his village in Gopalganj, Bihar. According to reports, Pankaj was shooting for a film in Uttarakhand, where he has left for his village in Gopalganj, Bihar as soon as he got the news of his father’s death.
An official statement on behalf of Pankaj Tripathi’s team said, “It is with a heavy heart that we have to say that Pankaj Tripathi’s father Pandit Banaras Tiwari is no longer in the world. He lived a healthy life of 99 years. His last rites will be performed today among his immediate family. Pankaj Tripathi is currently going to his village Gopalganj.
Pankaj Tripathi’s recently released film ‘OMG 2’ is doing very well at the box office. The film has collected over Rs 113.67 crore at the box office on its tenth day and remains in the limelight. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
