Anant Singh expelled from JDU; action also taken against his wife
Beyond the Dularchand Yadav murder case, Anant Singh is also facing difficulties within his party. The JDU recently expelled both him and his wife from the party. The party has also written to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, demanding the termination of Anant Singh’s legislative membership.
When asked about this decision, JDU National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha stated that the party operates based on discipline, and all decisions are reached through consensus. He added that the final approval rests with Nitish Kumar; regardless of whether one agrees with a decision, it must be accepted.
In fact, during the Legislative Council elections, Anant Singh had been making persistent statements against the JDU candidate, Neeraj Kumar. He exerted all his efforts to ensure Neeraj Kumar’s defeat and extended his support to Anuj Singh, the candidate for the ‘Jan Suraj’ party. However, Neeraj Kumar emerged victorious in the election. Following this, the party initiated action against Anant Singh and his wife.
