A horrific incident that shames humanity has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. In the Vijay Nagar police station area, a perpetrator abducted a two-year-old innocent girl, sexually assaulted her, and then buried her in the sand with the intent to kill her.
Fortunately, the girl’s parents arrived at the scene just in time, saving her life. Acting swiftly, the police cordoned off the area and apprehended the accused.
The child began crying loudly in pain.
According to the information received, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Vijay Nagar police station in Jabalpur. The accused targeted and abducted the two-year-old girl, committing a heinous act (sexual assault) against her. When the child began crying loudly due to the pain, the accused, fearing that his crime would be exposed, attempted to kill her by burying her in the sand. Believing her to be dead, the accused fled the scene.

Meanwhile, upon noticing the child missing from home and hearing faint cries, the parents searched for her and reached the location. They immediately rescued the child—who was in critical condition—and alerted the police. Based on the complaint and the physical description provided by the family, the police took immediate action, cordoned off the area, and apprehended the accused. Police interrogation revealed that the accused is a resident of Damoh district and has several other serious criminal cases already registered against him.

ASP Ayush Jakhar stated that the incident is extremely sensitive. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act, attempted murder, and other serious legal provisions, and have arrested the accused. The innocent child has been provided with immediate medical assistance, and the police are ensuring that the strictest possible legal action is taken in this matter.
