मुंबई: 90 साल पुराने पार्श्वनाथ दिगंबर जैन मंदिर पर चला मोदी का बुलडोजर

Congress wrote on Twitter, “BJP government bulldozed a temple in Mumbai. BJP government bulldozed a 90-year-old Parshvanath Digambar Jain temple. This incident has hurt the entire country including the Jain community, we strongly condemn it.”

Congress further said that BJP’s hatred towards temples keeps coming to the fore from time to time, earlier in the name of Smart City, hundreds of temples were demolished in Banaras. Idols of God were vandalized. BJP and its leaders are so intoxicated with arrogance that they do not care at all about the faith of the people. They only care about their own and their friends’ benefits. There is no atonement for this sin of BJP.

It is worth noting that BMC demolished an allegedly unauthorized Jain temple in Vile Parle area. Community members called this action unfair. Anil Shah, trustee of the temple (Chaitalaya) located inside the Neminath Cooperative Housing Society in Kambliwadi, said that it was demolished on April 16.

Anil Shah said the structure was from the 1960s and was renovated with the permission of the BMC.

“There is a government resolution which says such structures can be regularised. You just have to submit a proposal to the BMC for regularisation and we had submitted that proposal,” he claimed.
