A heart-wrenching incident has happened in PM Modi’s state Gujarat. In a shocking incident in Surat on Saturday, seven members of a businessman’s family, including three children, ended their lives.
Police reached the spot and found a suicide note at the spot, in which critical circumstances were mentioned. The head of the family, furniture businessman Manish Solanki, is also among the victims. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Along with him, his wife Rita, father Kanu, mother Shobha and three young children – Disha, Kavya and Kushal also ended their lives.
Reports suggest that he has taken the step due to severe financial constraints, although the exact reason is being investigated. Explaining the heartbreaking incident, Surat Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rakesh Barot said, “Seven members of a family have committed suicide. They have written a suicide note, and we are verifying the reason. “
The incidents of suicide came to light after local residents became worried after Manish Solanki was not contacted this morning. According to residents of the area, Solanki had hired around 35 carpenters and labourers. He was facing financial difficulties for a long time. The workers tried to contact them but got no response. There was no response even after reaching home and knocking on the door.
Concerned neighbors entered the house by breaking a rear window. Although police have not yet revealed specific details of the suicide note, the family has reportedly cited financial crisis as a contributing factor to the desperate step.
