A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Panchkula, Haryana, where 7 members of a family have committed suicide. According to the information, the family that committed suicide was from Dehradun. According to eyewitnesses, around 11:00 pm on Monday night, they found a car parked outside a house in Sector-27, Panchkula. A towel was placed on the glass of this car. This raised suspicion among the people. According to eyewitnesses, the people present in the car were suffering badly. There were a total of 7 people in the car. One of them was trying to get out of the car. When people talked to him, he told that we are under a lot of debt.
People present on the spot informed the police about this. Police reached the spot as soon as they got the information. The condition of all seven was bad. They were immediately taken to Ojas Hospital. But all of them died during treatment. According to information received from sources, due to heavy debt and being troubled by financial crisis, they took this horrific step and consumed poison inside the car.
Praveen Mittal was a resident of Dehradun in Uttarakhand. He had come with his family to Panchkula to listen to the five-day Hanuman Katha. His family included his father Deshraj Mittal, mother, wife and three children. This incident happened while returning to Dehradun after the program was over. According to the information, the Mittal family was struggling with financial crisis and debt.
The police have also found a suicide note from the spot. The police is investigating the matter. All the seven bodies were kept in the mortuary of private hospitals in Panchkula.
Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Law and Order Amit Dahiya have reached the spot and started the investigation. The forensic team has collected samples for investigation. According to Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik, prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. The matter will be thoroughly investigated. The deceased have been identified.
The police will also go to the local residence of the deceased in Dehradun for investigation. People will be questioned there. This incident in Panchkula has brought back memories of the Burari incident that took place 7 years ago in Delhi.
Reminded of Delhi’s Burari incident
This case has reminded of Delhi’s Burari incident. In 2018, 11 members of a family were found dead together in Burari, North Delhi. Out of these, 10 bodies were found hanging from the noose, while the body of the oldest woman Narayani Devi was found lying on the floor in another room of the house. Those who died included people aged between 15 and 57 years.
