North India is experiencing a severe cold wave accompanied by dense fog. This fog is now proving deadly, leading to a series of accidents and collisions on the roads. Around 2 AM on Tuesday night, six buses and two cars traveling from Agra to Noida on the Yamuna Expressway collided in dense fog in the Baldev police station area of ​​Mathura. Four people have died in this horrific accident, and more than 150 passengers have been injured and admitted to hospitals for treatment.

According to reports, the collision was so severe that several vehicles caught fire. Panic ensued among the passengers after the accident. Many passengers jumped from the buses to save their lives, while several others are feared to have died in the fire. Confirmed details about the injured and deceased are still awaited.

The accident occurred near milestone 125, near Khadehra village in the Baldev police station area. Upon receiving information about the accident, a large number of fire tenders, police, and emergency relief teams rushed to the spot. The injured were immediately taken to hospitals by ambulance. The Agra-Noida lane of the expressway was completely blocked.

Preliminary estimates suggest that dense fog and limited visibility were the main causes of this tragic accident. The administration has appealed to local residents and travelers to avoid this route, and relief operations are underway. Mathura District Magistrate CP Singh and SSP Shlok Kumar have also reached the accident site. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established.

Regarding the accident, SSP Shlok Kumar stated that four passengers died in the fire, and a large number of people were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in more than 20 ambulances.
