A truck hit a car in Krishna Nagar Colony on Narketpally-Addanki Highway. The deceased were residents of Nandipadu village in Miryalaguda mandal. They were returning home after visiting a temple in Vijayawada in neighboring Andhra Pradesh when the accident occurred.

Five members of two families, including two children, died in a road accident in Telangana’s Nalgonda district. A woman was also seriously injured in the accident that took place in Miryalaguda late on Sunday night.
According to the police, a truck hit the car in Krishna Nagar Colony on Narketpally-Addanki Highway. The deceased were residents of Nandipadu village in Miryalaguda mandal. They were returning home after visiting a temple in Vijayawada in neighboring Andhra Pradesh when the accident occurred.
The deceased have been identified as Cherukupalli Mahesh (32), his wife Jyoti (30), daughter Rishita (6), Mahesh’s brother B. Mahendra (32), his son Leonis (2). Mahesh’s wife Madhavi is seriously injured. He was taken to Miryalaguda Area Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital.
According to the police, a truck hit the car from behind and ran away. Police have started investigation to identify and trace the truck.
