40 people have died in a fire in a building in Mangaf city of Kuwait. Many Indians are also feared dead in this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar have expressed deep grief over this incident.

At least 40 people have died in a fire in a building in Kuwait’s southern city of Mangaf, the country’s state media said on Wednesday. Local media reported that the building houses a large population of Malayalam people. Two of the deceased were from Tamil Nadu and two from North India. However, official confirmation from the authorities is still awaited.

Injured taken to hospital

According to a statement issued by the Kuwait Health Ministry, all the injured people, some of whom are in critical condition, have been taken to several nearby hospitals for treatment. The ministry said that medical teams are making every effort to provide proper medical care to those injured in the fire in the building.

Panic spread

According to reports, a fire broke out in the kitchen of the labour camp at 4:30 am on Wednesday. Some people died after jumping out of the apartment after seeing the fire, while others died due to burns and suffocation caused by smoke.
