Four Kanwariyas from Haryana arrested in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, attacked parking contractor with a sword

Four Kanwariyas who had gone to collect water in Haridwar, Uttarakhand have been arrested. It is alleged that these Kanwariyas had a quarrel with the contractor on Sunday over parking fee. Some people were also injured in this incident.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and arrested the four Kanwariyas involved in the fight. These kanwariyas have been identified as Mahant Saurabh Giri Naga Baba (40), Divya alias Deepu (19), Rajat (19) and Arun (18) living in Sonipat, Haryana.
All these kanwariyas had reached Haridwar by tractor trolley to collect water for the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. According to Muni Ki Reti police station in-charge Ritesh Shah, these kanwariyas parked the tractor in Janaki Pul parking near Neelkanth temple and went to collect water. When they returned, the parking contractor asked them for parking fee. On this matter, the kanwariyas had a fight with the parking employees Balam Singh Bisht, Ajay and Subhash and a scuffle took place. It is alleged that during this time the kanwariyas attacked the parking contractor and parking employees with a sword.
Arrest made after interrogation
In this attack, one employee has suffered a head injury. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and made arrangements to send the injured employee to the hospital. The police took the accused kanwariyas into custody and brought them to the police station. After necessary interrogation, the police arrested these four accused kanwariyas. The police is investigating the matter. The police said that due to the beginning of Sawan from Monday, a huge crowd started gathering in Haridwar from Sunday morning.
Kanwariyas also come from Delhi and Haryana
Not only from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, a large number of kanwariyas from Delhi and Haryana also reached Haridwar to collect water at various ghats. Most of the kanwariyas reached here on foot, but a large number of kanwariyas also came here riding on various vehicles. All these people had decorated their vehicles in different ways. To park these vehicles, the local administration had made temporary parking lots near all the ghats and had given the contract. The latest case has also happened in one of these parking lots, Janaki Bridge.
